Siquijor: The Enchanting Island of fire

Unlike Cebu , Bohol and other parts of Visayas, few people only visit Siquijor, and mostly are foreigners. Siquijor is a 5th provincial income class island province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region. To the north of Siquijor is Cebu, west to Negros, northeast is Bohol, and to the south, across the Bohol Sea, is Mindanao. Siquijor is the third smallest province in the country, in terms of population as well as land area (after Camiguin and Batanes). For a time it was a subprovince of Negros Oriental.

Siquijor is an enchanting land known for its myths, faith healers and enchantments. Also known as " Isla del Fuego"or "Island born in fire", the eerie glow of great swarm of fireflies by night and the serene place will definitely allure you to stay longer. Its unassuming beauty will enchant you from its pristine beaches, to its famous cliff diving spot in Salagdoong. Quite scary? Don't fret, as locals tend to disagree and want to promote Siquijor as a world - class island wherein you can find peace and relaxation.
